Things are a little bit more complex than meets the eye, Sean Stephane Martin. My living out of a suitcase is because I’m spending time with my parents as my stepmom navigates the reality of Stage IV cancer.

Thankfully, I have friends, too — the ones I lost touch with as a result of depression are still around, and I even made new ones who are being amazingly supportive and caring. So I’m good on that front although no one will ever replace my beloved Anthony, the friend of over 20 years whom cancer killed.

Also, I’m working again so things are looking up even though making ends meet is a daily struggle. There’s zero financial security in my household, there has never been.

Having been a freelancer for years, it doesn’t faze me anymore even though it’s exhausting.
