Why is it so hard for some folks to understand we all have a duty of care toward one another, Marley K.? Rhetorical question because I’m only a newly minted American who comes from a drastically different culture but still.

How many more Black folks will have to die at the hands of law enforcement for White Americans to wake up and do something? Where is the empathy? Where is the compassion? Where is the shared humanness?

As you know, I still don’t get America, the heartlessness of it, the ruthless and unforgiving environment that posits money is the only thing that matters, the greed, oh the greed!

And whenever I think of greed, the only examples I can come up with are white.
